Adam Lallana heaps praise on Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson
Adam Lallana says the Liverpool players need to adopt the mentality of Reds captain Jordan Henderson.
The England international has impressed upon his return to the Liverpool side in recent weeks after missing the start of the season due to injury.

Henderson scored one goal and made an assist in Liverpool’s 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion earlier this month, before he impressed against Watford and Leicester City.
England midfielder Lallana, who moved to Liverpool from Southampton in a £25m deal in 2014, heaped praise on the Reds skipper ahead of his return to Sunderland on Wednesday night.
Lallana told Liverpool’s website: “I see different traits of his, being able to work with him so closely. I see how dedicated he is and how much hard work he has put into his career to get where he is today.
“It’s Liverpool’s privilege that he’s our captain. He is not one that wants the praise or to be credited, he just wants to get on with his job like a lot of us here and do well for the team.
“He is a big team player and he’ll always sacrifice himself for others. If we can gain that mentality throughout the season and throughout the squad, I think that’s how we’re going to achieve big things.”
Henderson has scored one goal and has made two assists in six Premier League games for the Merseyside outfit this season.
The Reds are in tenth place and eight points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur in the hunt for a Champions League spot.
