Arsenal fan Piers Morgan taunts Tottenham after defeat

Piers Morgan is quick to aim a dig at Tottenham after their 2-1 loss to Newcastle United at White Hart Lane on Sunday

Piers Morgan could not help but aim a dig at Tottenham after Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men knew that victory over the Magpies at White Hart Lane would lift them into the top four.

But despite taking the lead, the Lilywhites were pegged back and beaten in front of their home fans in north London.

Arsenal shareholder and celebrity fan aimed a timely dig at the Gunners’ local rivals on Twitter after the final whistle.

Spurs took the lead in the 39th minute at White Hart Lane when Eric Dier headed home Christian Eriksen’s corner.

However, Newcastle fought back and drew level in the 74th minute when substitute Aleksandar Mitrovic tapped home after a scramble inside the six-yard box.

Ayoze Perez then netted a dramatic late winner in the 90th minute as Hugo Lloris was caught out by a quick shot at his near post.
