David Ospina is keeping his spirits high despite his lack of playing time for Arsenal
David Ospina has not made an appearance for Arsenal since his costly error in the Gunners’ 3-2 defeat by Olympiacos in the Champions League in September.
It was a performance to forget for the Colombia international as Arsene Wenger was widely criticised for his decision to start Ospina ahead of first-choice goalkeeper Petr Cech at Emirates Stadium.
Cech, who joined Arsenal from Chelsea back in the summer transfer window, has been a regular fixture between the posts for Wenger’s men since that game.
However, Ospina is clearly determined not to let his lack of playing time get him down, as he got into the festive spirit with his wife Jessica and his two children on Monday night.
The 27-year-old Colombia international posted the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “That is an excellent start the best time of year.
Happy Day of the little Candles.”
Ospina has made three appearances for Arsenal, who are currently second in the Premier League table, in all competitions this season.
