Arsenal transfers: David Ospina drops Twitter hint over Besiktas move

Arsenal No2 David Ospina's Twitter activity appears to suggest a move to Besiktas could be on the cards

David Ospina could be set for a January move to Besitkas if the Arsenal goalkeeper’s recent Twitter activity is any indication.

The Colombia international has found his first-team opportunities non-existent since Ospina’s error-ridden performance in Arsenal’s 3-2 loss to Olympiacos in the Champions League group stage in October.

Ospina has spent most of the season playing second fiddle to Arsenal’s summer signing Petr Cech after the 33-year-old Czech Republic international moved to the north London side in an £11m deal from defending Premier League champions Chelsea in the summer.

The South American has been linked with a move away from the Gunners in the January transfer window amid reports that Turkish side Besiktas are keen to sign the out-of-favour Arsenal shot stopper.

And Ospina has been favouriting supportive tweets from some Besiktas supporters urging the shot stopper to make the move to the Turkish club.

Arsenal welcome Sunderland to The Emirates in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
