Ayoze Perez comments on Man United and Tottenham transfer interest

Ayoze Perez confirms that both Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in signing him

Ayoze Perez has confirmed that both Manchester United and Tottenham have expressed an interest in signing the Spaniard during the January transfer window.

Perez has been in fine form this season and scored Newcastle United’s winning goal as the Magpies came from behind to secure a 2-1 win at White Hart Lane earlier this month.

He has been linked with a possible transfer away from St James’ Park as the January window draws ever nearer, with the 22-year-old having been touted as a possible target for both Spurs and Manchester United.

Now, the player himself has confirmed that there is concrete interest from both clubs ahead of next month’s transfer window.

Speaking on Radio Club Tenerife, Perez said: “There is truth in the talk about interest in me. It’s rewarding for me.

“There is much truth in the interest from Tottenham and Man United, but my place is at Newcastle.”
