Cesc Fabregas taks to social media to send a classy message to Jose Mourinho following his sacking
Cesc Fabregas has taken to social media to pay tribute to Jose Mourinho after the Portuguese coach was sacked by Chelsea on Thursday.
The Blues made the decision to part company with the 52-year-old in the wake of Monday night’s 2-1 loss to Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.
Mourinho leaves Chelsea languishing in 16th place in the Premier League table and just a point above the relegation zone after 16 games of the new season.
And Fabregas used his personal Instagram account to send a classy farewell message to Mourinho on Thursday afternoon.
Fabregas posted the picture above on the app and wrote: “Thank you for all you have done for me. I owe you a lot and we will all miss you. Good luck in the future and I know you will be back soon.”
It is not yet clear who will oversee Chelsea’s home game against Sunderland in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
Despite their struggles in the Premier League, the Blues are through to the last 16 of the Champions League, where they will face Paris Saint-Germain in the new year.
