Chelsea transfers: Boca Juniors star hints at January move on Twitter

Jonathan Calleri's tweet on Monday night has fuelled speculation that he is set for a January transfer to Chelsea

Jonathan Calleri looks to have confirmed on Twitter that he will be leaving Boca Juniors in the January transfer window, amid reports that Chelsea are keen on signing the 22-year-old.

Striker Calleri, who has scored 10 goals this season, has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks as Jose Mourinho considers bolstering his Blues squad next month following their stuttering start to the season.

The likes of Inter Milan, Tottenham and Arsenal have also all been credited with an interest in the forward as the January transfer window looms large.

Now, the player himself appears to have revealed that he is on his way out of the Brazilian club via a post on Twitter.

Calleri tweeted on Monday evening: “Thank you for everything and goodbye ..”

Chelsea are currently gearing up for their Champions League clash with Porto at Stamford Bridge as they look for a victory to book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League as group winners.
