Chelsea transfers: Juventus manager tight-lipped on Oscar reports
Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri refuses to clarify whether Serie A champions want Chelsea star Oscar
Massimiliano Allegri has remained tight-lipped on speculation linking Juventus with a move for Chelsea forward Oscar.
The Brazil international has endured a miserable Premier League campaign so far alongside his under-performing Blues team-mates.
Oscar has scored three goals and has made one assist in 15 games for the defending Premier League champions.
Serie A holders Juventus have been linked with a big-money move for the South American playmaker in the January transfer window.
However, Juve manager Allegri refused to clarify whether the Turin side are keen to sign the Chelsea midfielder ahead of next month’s transfer window.
“The English tabloids write a lot of things!” Allegri is quoted as saying by Football Italia.
“Juventus have an excellent squad, the club will evaluate if there’s anything to be done. If we do sign anyone, he has to be worthy of Juventus.
“There’s no point just signing someone for the sake of it, he has to fit into the project and be at the same level as these players.”
Oscar has scored one goal in 10 Premier League appearances for the west London side this season.
Chelsea are a staggering 20 points behind Premier League leaders Leicester City after a 2-1 defeat by the Foxes at King Power Stadium on Monday night.
The 24-year-old Brazil playmaker moved to the west London club in the summer transfer window in 2013.
