Daley Blind issues Man United warning ahead of Norwich clash

Daley Blind explains why Man United can't afford to underestimate Norwich City

Daley Blind has warned Manchester United that they can’t afford to underestimate Norwich City in Saturday’s Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are bidding to end a five-game winless run in all competitions after a surprise 2-1 loss to promoted side Bournemouth at Vitality Stadium last Saturday evening.

We have to show up as a team and stick together, giving everything for a good result

Norwich have secured just one victory in their last five Premier League games, whilst the Canaries haven’t won at Old Trafford in their last five away games against United.

But Netherlands international Blind, who has been a mainstay of Louis van Gaal’s injury-ravaged back four this season, warned the Red Devils that Norwich will be difficult to break down in Saturday’s Premier League meeting.

Blind told United’s website: “I think Norwich are a difficult team to play against, like every team in the Premier League.

“If you look at their recent results, I think they’re strong, they haven’t conceded many goals.

“They haven’t scored many either, but I think we need to look at ourselves at this point. We have to show up as a team and stick together, giving everything for a good result.”

Norwich have lost 4-0 in their last three visits to Old Trafford in the Premier League.

The Canaries have only earned a point at Old Trafford since the Premier League began in 1992/93.

However, the promoted side have beaten United in two of their last four games at Carrow Road.
