Liverpool striker Divock Origi takes to Instagram after scoring his first Premier League goal in a 2-2 draw with West Brom
Divock Origi couldn’t disguise his delight after the Liverpool striker scored his first Premier League goal to salvage a 2-2 draw with West Brom at Anfield.
The Reds appeared to be heading for their third home league defeat of the season after Craig Dawson and Jonas Olsson had cancelled out Jordan Henderson’s first-half opener for the hosts on Merseyside.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp introduced Belgium international Origi as a substitute following Dejan Lovren’s horror injury at Anfield in the second half, and the striker scored a deflected strike in the sixth minute of added time in Sunday’s clash.
And the 21-year-old was delighted to open his Premier League account in dramatic circumstances at Anfield.
Origi posted the above photo and wrote: “All praise to God, my first goal in the BPL 🌪”
The Liverpool striker, who moved to Anfield from Lille in the summer, netted a hat-trick in a 6-1 victory over Southampton in the League Cup quarter-final at St Mary’s earlier this month.
