Belgian reporter claims on Twitter that Eden Hazard's hip injury is 'not too serious'

Eden Hazard’s hip injury is “not too serious” as Chelsea turn their attentions to Saturday’s clash with Sunderland, according to reports.

The Belgian playmaker was forced off during Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to Leicester City on Monday night midway through the first half after suffering the problem during an awkward fall at the King Power Stadium.

Hazard attempted to play on, before immediately signalling that he could not continue and disappearing down the tunnel.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho said that the west London club were waiting to discover the extent of Hazard’s problem in the wake of Monday’s defeat.

Now, Belgian journalist Kristof Terreur has revealed on Twitter that the 24-year-old’s injury has been shown to not be very serious.

Monday’s loss left Chelsea languishing just one point above the relegation zone as they prepare to host Sunderland in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Hazard has made 16 Premier League appearances so far this seaso.
