Eden Hazard reacts to Chelsea’s draw at Tottenham

Eden Hazard says Chelsea's draw at Tottenham on Sunday was a good result for the Blues

Eden Hazard insisted that he was pleased with a “good” result after helping Chelsea earn a point against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The Belgium international was deployed up front for Jose Mourinho’s men but failed to find the net as they were forced to settle for a point against their London rivals.

Chelsea have been showing signs of improved form in recent weeks after their slow start to the season.

And Hazard feels that the Blues can take plenty of positives for their performance against the Lilywhites at White Hart Lane, despite failing to claim the three points.

Hazard, 24, told Chelsea TV: “A draw is a good result but I think we deserved to score a goal to cap off a good performance.

“In the first half Oscar gave a great cross to me which I headed over. We didn’t have a lot of chances but Hugo Lloris stopped a volley from me which was a beautiful save. If I had scored then it would have been 1-0 and it could have been a win for us.

“It’s always difficult to play at Tottenham. Last season we lost here 5-3 and we tried to get revenge but I think a draw is a good result.”

Chelsea return to Premier League action with a home clash against Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The Blues, who won the title at a canter last term, are currently 14th in the top-flight table and 14 points behind leaders Manchester City after 14 games of the new season.
