Former Chelsea star defends Jose Mourinho’s Premier League record
Mario Melchiot highlights Jose Mourinho's impressive Premier League record despite Chelsea sacking
Mario Melchiot has defended Jose Mourinho’s Premier League record after Chelsea sacked the manager on Thursday evening.
The Blues parted company with the Portuguese coach just seven months after Mourinho led the west London side to their fourth Premier League crown.
The defending champions have already lost a staggering nine Premier League games this season, including a 2-1 loss to Leicester City on Monday night.
And former Chelsea defender Melchiot pointed out that Mourinho still has a better Premier League record than Sir Alex Ferguson, Carlo Ancelotti and Manuel Pellegrini.
