Roberto Soldado sends a message of congratulations to Harry Kane after his 100th appearance for Tottenham

Roberto Soldado has taken to social media to pay tribute to Harry Kane after the striker scored on his 100th appearance for Tottenham in Saturday’s 2-0 win at Southampton.

Kane gave his side the lead at St Mary’s with his ninth goal of the Premier League season so far in the 40th minute.

Dele Alli then added a second for the north London side on the south coast as Mauricio Pochettino’s side secured the three points to hoist themselves above Manchester United and into fourth place in the Premier League table heading into Christmas.

And former Tottenham striker Soldado was quick to send a message of congratulations to Kane after he reached the milestone on Saturday.

Soldado tweeted on Saturday evening:

And Kane soon responded:

Tottenham are nine points behind surprise Premier League leaders Leicester City, who were 3-2 winners at Everton.
