Ian Wright says Arsenal star Olivier Giroud has proven that he is a world-class striker
Ian Wright says Olivier Giroud’s goal record proves that the Arsenal man is a world-class striker.
The France international has scored five goals in his last three games in all competitions ahead of Arsenal’s clash against title rivals Manchester City at The Emirates on Monday night.

Giroud netted a hat-trick in the north London’s crucial 3-0 win against Greek side Olympiacos in their final Champions League group-stage game to book their place in the knock-out stage.
However, the 29-year-old still faces questions over his long-term future at Arsenal as Arsene Wenger continues to be linked with a move for a world-class striker, such as Real Madrid star Karim Benzema.
But former Gunners forward Wright believes Giroud’s goal record against some of Europe’s top clubs underlines the striker’s world-class ability ahead of Monday night’s Premier League game.
Wright told BT Sport: “He is world class. He scores against all the top international teams. I think he is world class. I’m a big fan.”
Giroud has scored nine of Arsenal’s 29 Premier League goals so far this season.
