Insider delivers latest transfer update on reported Arsenal target

Guillem Balague says Arsenal are not in the running to sign Nolito from Celta Vigo in January

Arsenal are not in the hunt to sign Nolito from Celta Vigo next month, according to Spanish football expert Guillem Balague.

The Gunners have inevitably been linked with a host of players as the January transfer window looms large and manager Arsene Wenger considers bolstering his squad in the new year.

The speculation linking Arsenal with January transfer moves have gathered further pace in recent days after a host of first-team players were ruled out of action due to injury, including the likes of key duo Alexis Sanchez and Santi Cazorla.

Nolito is one name to have been linked with a move to Emirates Stadium in recent weeks, with Barcelona also said to be interested in completing a loan move for the winger.

However, Sky Sports pundit Balague has revealed that he understands Nolito is not interested in a move to Arsenal and would favour a transfer to the Camp Nou.
