John Arne Riise runs rule over Liverpool star Alberto Moreno
John Arne Riise says he has been impressed with Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno
John Arne Riise says he has been impressed with Alberto Moreno since Jurgen Klopp took over at Liverpool.
The Spain international has been a regular in the 48-year-old manager’s side since the German took over the reins at Anfield in October.
Moreno’s impressive performances for the Reds at left-back have prompted speculation that Real Madrid could move for the Liverpool defender.
Former Reds manager Rafael Benitez is currently in charge at The Bernabeu and is looking for cover following Marcelo’s recent injury.
And when asked by one Twitter user to analyse the Liverpool left-back, the Norwegian was quick to play down any suggestion that Moreno could become the next Riise.
Moreno will be Moreno. Riise is Riise.. Impressed with him since Klopp took over. Confidence is higher https://t.co/AkdO7x4RRc

Moreno moved to Liverpool from Sevilla in a £12m deal after helping the La Liga club to win the Europa League.
The Reds defender has scored two goals in 61 appearances in all competitions for the Merseyside outfit.
The Spanish defender will be expected to line up against Newcastle United at St James’s Park on Sunday afternoon.
