John Barnes states his prediction for Liverpool v West Brom

The Liverpool legend is confident about the Reds' chances on Sunday afternoon at Anfield

John Barnes is confidently tipping Liverpool to secure a 3-0 victory over West Bromwich Albion at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Jurgen Klopp’s men are looking to bounce back from the disappointment of their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United last weekend when they host the Baggies on Merseyside.

The Reds played out a goalless draw with FC Sion in the Europa League on Thursday night to book their place in the last 32 of the competition as group winners.

And former Liverpool star Barnes is fully expecting to see Liverpool ease to a comfortable victory at Anfield this weekend.

Barnes wrote on his blog for Titanbet: “While West Brom have been playing well recently, Liverpool will be eager to bounce back from their loss to Newcastle very quickly.

“And for that reason I think they’ll turn on the style at Anfield and win 3-0, with Cristian Benteke to score at least one.”

Liverpool head into Sunday’s clash with the Baggies in eighth place in the Premier League table and six points behind fourth-placed Manchester United after 15 games of the season.

Klopp’s men have notched up memorable victories over the likes of Manchester City and Chelsea since the German took charge of the club in October.
