Latest Liverpool injury update: Jurgen Klopp on Daniel Sturridge blow
Jurgen Klopp runs rule over Liverpool's plans to help Daniel Sturridge with latest injury setback
Jurgen Klopp says Liverpool will do everything possible to ensure Daniel Sturridge can make a swift recovery from his latest injury setback.
The England international has been plagued by injury problems in recent months and had only just returned to action for the Reds after knee and foot problems before suffering a hamstring strain during a substitute appearance in Liverpool’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle United at the weekend.
We have to train, that’s all, and to give him more resistance for the intensity of football

The 26-year-old striker was heavily criticised by some Liverpool supporters following his latest injury problem after racking up just 17 Premier League appearances over the past 12 months for the Merseyside outfit.
Speaking at his pre-match media conference on Saturday afternoon, Klopp explained how Liverpool will design rehabilitation sessions to help prevent Sturridge from suffering any further injury setbacks.
“We have to train with him and make sessions with him as soon as he’s prepared for them,” Klopp said.
“At this moment, he trains aerobically and it’s very important to give him a better base than he had before and that he can work on this.
“I said before Southampton with the last injury, that is the history and the situation with players who have been injured for a long time.
