Jurgen Klopp gives latest Liverpool injury update on Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge
Jurgen Klopp says Jordan Henderson and Daniel Sturridge didn’t suffer any setbacks after their cameo appearances in Liverpool’s 1-0 win against Swansea City on Sunday.
The Reds captain replaced Roberto Firmino for the final 30 minutes at Anfield after Henderson had missed Liverpool’s previous 12 Premier League games due to a foot injury.
If nothing happens from now until the plane has started, they’ll join us and be in the squad and we again have these two options

Sturridge has made featured in just four Premier League games for the Reds this season, but the striker recovered from a reported foot problem to replace Christian Benteke for the final 19 minutes.
Henderson and Sturridge were snapped during Liverpool’s training session at Melwood on Monday morning, appearing to suggest they’d come through their returns to first-team action unscathed.
Speaking at his pre-match media conference ahead of Reds’s trip to Southampton on Wednesday night, Klopp delivered his latest Liverpool injury update on England internationals Henderson and Sturridge.
“They have had no physical reaction. It’s good news and they did their job,” Klopp told Liverpool’s website.
“That was good and important for us. They helped us keep the result, which was not easy – especially for Jordan in his position.
“Daniel did what we spoke about before, that he should be our target for winning balls, once we got the ball be an option, the first option. That’s what he did; everybody could see his quality in a few moments. It was good for us.
“Now the problem with the Southampton game is we cannot ignore that it could be extra-time. I’m sure 120 minutes would be too much for both.
