Lee Dixon issues stern Arsenal warning after Man City victory

Lee Dixon has a message for Arsenal after Monday night's 2-1 victory over Manchester City

Lee Dixon has warned Arsenal that they must learn to finish games with care in the title race after Monday night’s 2-1 victory over Manchester City.

England international Theo Walcott made the breakthrough in the 33rd minute after the Arsenal striker curled a powerful finish past City number one Joe Hart at the Emirates Stadium.

Olivier Giroud continued his impressive goal-scoring form on the stroke of half-time as the Arsenal striker doubled the north London side’s lead to leave Arsene Wenger’s men in command of the top-of-the-table clash.

Joel Campbell and Aaron Ramsey wasted opportunities to extend the home side’s lead in the second half before City midfielder Yaya Toure netted an 81st-minute consolation goal to ensure a nerve-ridden finish for the hosts.

Former Arsenal defender Dixon, who won four top-flight titles and three FA Cups during a distinguished Gunners career, issued a warning to the north London club after their morale-boosting victory.

Arsenal are in second place and two points behind surprise Premier League leaders Leicester City.
