New Liverpool signing issues warning to Simon Mignolet ahead of Saints clash
Liverpool goalkeeper Adam Bogdan is determined to seize his chance to impress Jurgen Klopp
Adam Bogdan has warned Simon Mignolet that he is ready to impress Liverpool manager ahead of their League Cup quarter-final clash at Southampton.
The Bulgaria international has been limited to two appearances in the League Cup following the shot stopper’s move to Liverpool from Bolton Wanderers in the summer transfer window.
The main thing is when you have an opportunity, you have to take it – you need to be concentrated and need to play well

Mignolet was criticised last week after the goalkeeper held on the ball too long which led to Bordeaux’s opener in Liverpool’s 2-1 win in the Europa League.
The Liverpool number two is confident that he can put pressure on the Belgium international and vie for a place in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team.
“Everyone would like to play,” Bogdan told Liverpool’s website.
“I am the same and would like to play week in, week out – but what I can do is to train well and by doing so, get an opportunity and then try to take it by playing well, and then let the manager decide. I have to keep training hard and trying to improve.
“I wouldn’t be here if I didn’t believe I could do that and that’s why I am putting a lot of effort into training, in the gym and everywhere.
“The main thing is when you have an opportunity, you have to take it – you need to be concentrated and need to play well. Most of the players are in the same shoes as everyone wants to play and represent Liverpool – and I am the same.”
Bogdan made 119 appearances in all competitions for Bolton during a seven-year stay at the club.
Liverpool have lost just once in 11 games in all competitions following Klopp’s appointment.
