Luke Shaw hands Man United a timely boost on Twitter
Luke Shaw is in good spirits as he heads back home for the Christmas holidays with his comeback for Manchester United in sight
Luke Shaw has taken to social media to deliver a positive injury update as the Manchester United defender continues his recovery from a broken leg.
The England international has been out of action since suffering a double fracture of his leg during the Champions League defeat by PSV Eindhoven back in September.
However, the defender has been making good progress in his recovery and no longer needs crutches to walk.
And Shaw used his personal Twitter account to keep fans updated about his situation as he headed back down south for the Christmas holidays.
Shaw tweeted on Wednesday morning:
Heading back home to London for Christmas! Legs feeling really good! 👍🏼hope everyone has a good Christmas 😀

Shaw will no doubt be keeping a close eye on Manchester United’s fortunes as they prepare to take on Stoke City on Boxing Day, before a crunch clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford on 28 December.
United dropped out of the top four last weekend following their surprise 2-1 loss to Norwich City at Old Trafford.
