Mesut Ozil has posted a New Year’s Day message to his Instagram followers ahead of Arsenal’s clash against Newcastle United on Saturday.

The Gunners club-record signing has enjoyed an impressive end to 2015 after a scintillating run of form in the Premier League.

Ozil teed up Gabriel Paulista for the opener in Arsenal’s 2-0 victory over Bournemouth, before the World Cup winner netted a second-half strike in The Emirates clash on Monday night.

The 26-year-old has netted three times and has made 16 assists in 18 Premier League appearances for the Gunners so far this season.

And Ozil has plenty to smile about after a standout campaign for the north London side. He wrote on his Instagram page: “Thanx for all your support in 2015, I wish you health and only the best for 2016! May your dreams come true 🍀🎉 M1Ö”

Arsenal are top of the Premier League table after a 2-0 victory over Bournemouth on Monday night.
