Michael Owen states his prediction for Tottenham v Norwich

Michael Owen warns Tottenham that they must return to winning ways against Norwich if they want to sustain a title challenge

Michael Owen has warned Tottenham Hotspur that they cannot afford any more slip-ups if they harbour serious hopes of winning the Premier League title this season.

The north London side host Norwich City at White Hart Lane on Boxing Day as they look to build on their victory at Southampton in their most recent top-flight outing.

Spurs’ win on the south coast hoisted Mauricio Pochettino’s men up to fourth place in the Premier League table and above struggling Manchester United.

The Lilywhites are currently eight points behind leaders Leicester City heading into the hectic festive period.

And former Liverpool striker Owen has warned Spurs that they must string together a positive run of results in the coming weeks if they are to retain any hope of winning the title.

Owen wrote in his blog for Bet Victor: “A great result for the Canaries at Old Trafford but I think they will find life a bit tougher at the Lane.

“Spurs must still be ruing how they let three points slip against the Magpies in their last home game and cannot afford any further slip-ups if they are to be realistic title contenders.”
