Michael Owen states his prediction for Arsenal v Man City
Michael Owen is predicting that Manchester City will hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw at Emirates Stadium on Monday night
Michael Owen is tipping Manchester City to hold Arsenal to a 2-2 draw at Emirates Stadium in Monday night’s crunch Premier League clash at The Emirates.
Arsenal head into the game looking to continue their recent good run of form following their 2-0 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park last weekend.
City, meanwhile, are also looking to build on their 2-1 win over Swansea City last weekend, a result which left Manuel Pellegrini’s men in third place in the Premier League table and a point behind the Gunners.
Arsenal and City played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at The Emirates in the same fixture last season – and former Liverpool striker Owen is tipping the same result when the two sides lock horns next week.
Owen wrote in his blog for Colossus Bets: “The top two in the Premier League betting lock horns at the Emirates on Monday night, and Arsenal have a surprisingly good recent record against Man City.
“Last season, they beat them 3-0 in the Community Shield, 2-0 at the Etihad, while drawing 2-2 in this fixture.
“To be perfectly honest, neither of these sides have consistently convinced me this season – though they are probably the best two teams in the league on their day – and both have injury concerns.
“So I am going for goals again and the sides sharing the points, with 2-2 my preferred score-line.”
Arsenal booked their place in the last 16 of the Champions League last week and were paired with Barcelona in Monday’s draw.
