Pat Nevin: Jose Mourinho will want Man United job more than ever
Pat Nevin discusses whether Jose Mourinho could take over at Manchester United
Pat Nevin believes Jose Mourinho will want the Manchester United job more than ever after the outspoken manager was sacked by Chelsea.
The 52-year-old head coach left the defending Premier League champions just seven months after guiding the west London side to their fourth title since 1992.

Louis van Gaal is coming under increasing pressure at Old Trafford after a 2-1 loss to Norwich City extended their winless run to six games in all competitions.
Unsurprisingly, Mourinho has been touted as a potential replacement for his former Barcelona manager, although Pep Guardiola is also being linked with the United role.
Speaking to Newstalk’s Off The Ball podcast on Monday night, former Chelsea midfielder Nevin explained why the Red Devils job could appeal to Mourinho more than ever.
“I don’t know if Man United will take Mourinho,” Nevin said.
“I would guess if I had to put my life on it, I’d say Mourinho would love to go to Man United, maybe now more than ever.
“I think Man United were worried about the problems Jose might bring beforehand [in 2013] but now…”
Chelsea were 3-1 winners against fellow strugglers Sunderland in their first Premier League game since Mourinho parted company with the defending champions.
