Paul Merson states his prediction for West Brom v Tottenham
Paul Merson is expecting Tottenham to return to winning ways with a 2-1 win at West Brom on Saturday afternoon
Paul Merson is expecting Tottenham Hotspur to get back to winning ways when they travel to West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
The north London side played out a goalless draw with Chelsea at White Hart Lane last weekend to leave them in fifth place in the top-flight table and four points off the top heading into the hectic festive schedule.
Spurs head to The Hawthorns looking for a victory and to keep up their fine domestic form so far this term.
The Lilywhites are unbeaten in the Premier League since their opening-weekend defeat by Manchester United at Old Trafford.
And former Arsenal star Merson reckons that Spurs are on course to secure a 2-1 win at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
Merson told Sky Sports: “Tottenham have been great in recent weeks.
“The result against Chelsea was a good one for them after travelling back from Europa League action in Azerbaijan.
“I can’t see them being troubled at West Brom. I’m backing Mauricio Pochettino’s side to win 2-1 and keep their unbelievable unbeaten run going.”
Spurs have won six and drawn four of their last 10 Premier League games. They take on Monaco in the Europa League next week before a home clash against Newcastle United.
