Paul Merson tells Arsenal to sell this player in January
Paul Merson is urging Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to sell Joel Campbell in the January transfer window
Paul Merson has told Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to cash in on Joel Campbell in the January transfer window.
Campbell has been a regular fixture in the north London side’s first team in recent weeks following injuries to the likes of Santi Cazorla and Alexis Sanchez.
If everyone’s fit, he’s so far down the pecking order

The Costa Rica international has featured in all of Arsenal’s last 10 games and played 64 minutes as Wenger’s men secured a 2-0 win over Aston Villa on Sunday to move to the top of the Premier League table.
However, former Arsenal star Merson feels that Campbell will be deemed surplus to requirements once the Gunners get their key players back from injury.
Merson told Sky Sports News HQ: “I still think he’s got a very long to go. If everyone’s fit, he’s so far down the pecking order.
“I don’t know if Arsene Wenger is looking at his current form and thinking “I might get £8-9m in January.
“This lad is getting a taste and he’ll want to play football, and he won’t get that at Arsenal unless they have a lot of injuries. Aston Villa would take him.”
