Peter Schmeichel reacts to Man United and Leicester results
Peter Schmeichel is dealing with contrasting emotions after Leicester win but Man United lose
Peter Schmeichel was left speechless after Manchester United suffered a 2-1 home defeat by Norwich City at Old Trafford on Saturday.
The Red Devils extended their winless run to six games despite Anthony Martial netted a second-half goal to give the hosts hope of a comeback against the Canaries.
Louis van Gaal is facing a fresh wave of speculation over his position at Old Trafford amid growing talk of axed Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho taking over the reins at United.
Leicester City, meanwhile, will be top of the Premier League this Christmas after Claudio Ranieri’s side sealed a thrilling 3-2 victory over Everton at Goodison Park.
And Schmeichel, whose son Kasper is Leicester’s number one, expressed his delight for the Foxes after their slender win, but couldn’t bring himself to deliver his thoughts on United’s defeat.
Fantastic @LCFC 5 points clear at the top of the league. That's it, no other comments on today's results!
