Liverpool are in ninth place and 14 points behind surprise Premier League leaders Leicester City ahead of their clash against the Foxes at Anfield on Saturday afternoon.
Coutinho returned to Jurgen Klopp’s starting line-up for their humiliating loss to the Hornets as the club’s player of the month for November failed to rekindle his form before his hamstring setback.
However, the 23-year-old playmaker is confident that Liverpool can have a positive end to the season under their charismatic German as the Reds look to progress in Europa League, the FA Cup and the League Cup.
“We’re all focused on fighting for trophies and I think we have a great chance in the competitions we’re in,” Coutinho told Liverpool’s website.
