Calum Chambers says he was pleased to get a run out for Arsenal's Under-21 side
Calum Chambers could be set for some Premier League action in the Arsenal side over the festive period.
The Gunners youngster has found his first-team opportunities limited this season after falling behind Laurent Koscielny, Per Mertesacker and Gabriel Paulista in the pecking order at The Emirates.
However, the France centre-half was forced off in the first half of Arsenal’s 1-1 draw with Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday, with Gabriel replacing his team-mate alongside Mertesacker.
Chambers will be next in line should anything happen to the Brazilian and German defender, and the 20-year-old improved his match sharpness by helping Arsenal’s Under-21 side beat Brighton on Monday night.
Chambers posted the above snap on his Instagram page and wrote the following caption: “Good to get 90 minutes for the @Arsenal U21’s tonight”
The former Southampton defender has made just three appearances in the Premier League this season.
The England international moved to Emirates Stadium from Southampton in a £16m deal in 2014.
