Bastian Schweinsteiger has urged the Manchester United players to stick together ahead of Monday’s clash against Chelsea at Old Trafford.

The Red Devils are in turmoil after the 20-time English champions suffered a third successive Premier League defeat at the Britannia Stadium after a 2-0 loss to Stoke City on Boxing Day.

Schweinsteiger didn’t play a part in United’s humiliation at the Potters after the Germany international wasn’t even named on the bench.

However, the 31-year-old is eyeing a return to competitive action ahead of the visit of Chelsea as United look to end a six-game winless run in all competitions.

Schweinsteiger wrote on his Instagram page: “Let’s stick together and give everything tonight! #mufc”

The Germany midfielder has scored one goal in 15 Premier League appearances for the Red Devils so far this season.
