Bastian Schweinsteiger takes to Instagram to review his 2015 after moving to Man United in the summer

Bastian Schweinsteiger has reflected on a special 2015 which saw the midfielder complete a dream move to Manchester United.

The Germany international moved to Old Trafford in a £6.7m deal from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich in the summer transfer window.

However, Schweinsteiger began his year-end review on Instagram with a photo of the 31-year-old celebrating his eighth German title.

2015 has been a very exciting year with several highlights – one of them was celebrating the German Championship title with FC Bayern in May.

The Germany legend has already become a key part of Louis van Gaal’s side following his summer transfer on the same weekend as midfield colleague Morgan Schneiderlin and defender Matteo Darmian in July.

And Schweinsteiger explained why he was delighted to join the 20-time English champions after a decorated career at Bayern.

In summer a new chapter started at Manchester United as there was no better way fulfilling my wish to go abroad.

Next up, Schweinsteiger recalled Germany’s successful Euro 2016 qualification campaign, posted a snap with Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil and his other team-mates.

We finished first in a tough qualification group and are now looking forward to the #EURO2016 next year with the @dfb_team.

Schweinsteiger scored his first United goal in a 1-1 draw with title rivals Leicester City earlier this month.

Scoring for the first time for @manchesterunited was a special moment and great honor.

And Schweinsteiger finished his flurry of social media posts with a statement underlining his commitment to United.

“And today, I’m glad to be part of this team. #mufc”
