Chelsea striker Radamel Falcao is rooting for River Plate ahead of Fifa World Club Cup final
Radamel Falcao must dream of the glory days when the Chelsea flop scored goals for fun.
The Colombia international built a reputation as one of the world’s most-feared strikers after prolific spells at River Plate, Porto, Altetico Madrid and Monaco.
However, a serious knee injury has hampered the striker’s career over the past couple of years, with Falcao disappointing during loan spells at Premier League clubs Manchester United and Chelsea.
And the 29-year-old striker sent a message to former employers River Plate ahead of Sunday’s Fifa World Club Cup final against Barcelona.

Falcao has been sidelined for the past few weeks with a muscular problem and the South American didn’t feature in a 3-1 win against Sunderland at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
The former Porto striker moved to Chelsea on a season-long loan from Ligue 1 side Monaco.
Falcao, who scored four times in 26 games during a loan spell at Manchester United last season, has netted one Premier League goal for Chelsea this term.
