Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic gets a fresh supply of gloves ahead of Sunderland clash
Asmir Begovic hasn’t enjoyed a great start to his Chelsea career.
Although the Bosnia-Herzegovina international was given a prolonged run in the Chelsea first-team following injury to the club’s number one, Thibaut Courtois, Begovic failed to make a convincing case to replace the 23-year-old on a permanent basis.
The summer signing was unable to help Chelsea halt their dramatic slump in the Premier League, losing five of his first 11 top-flight games for the Blues.
But Begovic is hoping to have a safe pair of hands if called upon by Jose Mourinho in the coming weeks after receiving a fresh supply of goalkeeper gloves.
Begovic wrote on his Instagram page: “Thank you @sellsgoalkeeperproducts ! #anotherlevel #bestinthebusiness”
Begovic moved to the defending Premier League champions from Stoke City in an £8m deal in the summer transfer window.
The Bosnian is facing an uphill battle to reclaim his place in the Chelsea starting line-up following Courtois’s return from injury.
