The Czech Republic kept his 170th clean sheet in Arsenal’s comfortable 2-0 victory over Bournemouth at The Emirates to surpass former Manchester City goalkeeper David James’s total of 169.
The 33-year-old received plenty of tributes on Twitter from current and former professionals after his outstanding achievement, and Cech’s former employers Chelsea were quick to send a message to their former shot stopper.

Cech spent 11 years at Stamford Bridge before the veteran goalkeeper opted to move to Arsenal from Chelsea in an £11m deal in the summer transfer window.
The Czech Republic international won four Premier League titles, the Champions League, the Europa League, three League Cups and the FA Cup during a distinguished career at the west London club.
The goalkeeper’s clean sheet helped Arsenal hoist themselves to the top of the Premier League table on Monday night.
