Chelsea goalkeeper Asmir Begovic could be considering a change of sports
Asmir Begovic is a tad tall to be a jockey.
The Chelsea goalkeeper went along to the Olympia Horse Show on Thursday night as the Bosnia-Herzegovina international looked to take his mind off the west London side’s miserable run in the Premier League.
Begovic watched on from the bench as the defending champions suffered their ninth defeat of the Premier League season on Monday night as surprise leaders Leicester City eased to a 2-1 victory over Jose Mourinho’s men.
Standing at 6ft 6ins, Begovic should probably stick with the football considering the lightweight build of most jockeys, but nevertheless, the Chelsea number two had fun at the horse show.
Begovic posted the above snap and wrote on his Instagram page: “Great evening @olympiahorse show with @nicollebegovic and friends last night. #olympiahorseshow”
The Bosnia-Herzegovina international was given a prolonged run in the Chelsea first-team following injury to the club’s number one, Thibaut Courtois.

However, Begovic failed to make a convincing case to replace the 23-year-old on a permanent basis and Courtois has returned to the starting line-up following his recovery from injury.
The summer signing was unable to help Chelsea halt their dramatic slump in the Premier League, losing five of his first 11 top-flight games for the Blues.
