Daniel Sturridge insists he is staying positive after the Liverpool striker's latest injury setback

Daniel Sturridge has taken to social media to insist that he will be back stronger than ever after the Liverpool striker was ruled out of action for several weeks due to a hamstring injury.

The England international has been plagued by injury problems in recent months and had only just returned to action for the Reds after knee and foot problems.

Now, it appears that the forward is set to be out of action for another considerable spell after he suffered his latest setback during a substitute appearance in Liverpool’s 2-0 loss to Newcastle United at the weekend.

However, the forward was quick to take to social media on Wednesday morning to insist that he is remaining upbeat as he embarks on the road to recovery once again.

Sturridge posted the quote above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “I’ll never lose faith in God or belief in myself. Always light at the end of the tunnel. Have a good day people. I’ll be back before you know it… ❤️”
