Harry Kane posts an Instagram message after he scores on his 100th Tottenham appearance at Southampton

Harry Kane says he was thrilled to score on his 100th appearance for Tottenham Hotspur as Spurs eased to a 2-0 win at Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

The England international broke the deadlock at St Mary’s with his ninth goal of the Premier League season so far in the 40th minute.

Dele Alli added a second for the north London side on the south coast as Mauricio Pochettino’s side hoisted themselves above Manchester United and into fourth place.

And Tottenham striker Kane, who has been linked with a move to Manchester United in the January transfer window, took to Instagram to express his delight at racking up 100 games for the north London outfit.

The England striker has scored seven times in his last nine games in all competitions.

Tottenham are nine points behind surprise Premier League leaders Leicester City, who were 3-2 winners at Everton.
