Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge isn't letting his injury problems put a dampener on his mood
Daniel Sturridge is keeping his spirits high despite the Liverpool striker’s latest injury setback.
The 26-year-old forward has faced a fresh wave of criticism in recent weeks after Sturridge picked up a hamstring injury during last Sunday’s 2-0 loss at Newcastle United.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has recently discussed how the England striker needs to learn the difference between “real pain and pain” following an injury-hit 18 months.
But Sturridge was staying positive and vowed to keep smiling as the England international took to Instagram to upload a post on Friday evening ahead of Liverpool’s trip to Watford on Sunday evening.
Sturridge wrote: “Close up ting. Smile.”
The former Manchester City striker has scored two goals in five Premier League games for the Merseyside outfit this season.

The Liverpool striker netted an impressive brace in the Reds’s 6-1 victory over Southampton in the League Cup earlier this month.
The England international moved to Liverpool from Chelsea in a £13m deal in 2013.
