Mesut Ozil looked in a cheerful mood on Wednesday evening as he and his Arsenal team-mates prepare for their Premier League clash against Sunderland on Saturday.

The Gunners squad have been enjoying a rare week without a game following their League Cup elimination after their 1-1 draw with Norwich City on Sunday.

Ozil, who was voted Arsenal’s player of the month for November after an impressive few weeks, looked to be in a good mood as the north Londoners continued their preparations for the visit of the Black Cats on Saturday.

Ozil shared the picture above on his personal Instagram account and wrote: “M1O #behappy #gn8”

The German World Cup winner has scored two goals and made 11 assists in 13 Premier League games for the north London side and has also netted twice in five Champions League outings.
