Tom Carroll received a belated Christmas present on Boxing Day after the Tottenham Hotspur youngster scored his first Premier League goal in a 3-0 victory over Norwich City.

Harry Kane put Tottenham in command in north London after the 22-year-old striker scored either side of half-time and took his tally to 10 goals in 18 Premier League games.

The England Under-21 international was a second-half substitute for Danish playmaker Christian Eriksen at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

And Carroll capped an impressive Tottenham performance with a late third for Mauricio Pochettino’s side to cement fourth place in the Premier League.

The 23-year-old midfielder took to his Instagram page to reflect on his first Premier League goal ahead of their trip to Watford on Monday afternoon.

Carroll wrote: “What a feeling, 1st Prem goal! 😄⚽️”

Carroll has scored two goals in 13 games in all competitions so far this season for Tottenham.
