Daniel Sturridge provides Liverpool with an injury boost ahead of the visit of Leicester City on Boxing Day
Daniel Sturridge trained with his Liverpool team-mates ahead of the visit of Leicester City on Boxing Day.
The Reds striker hasn’t featured for the Merseyside outfit since coming on as a second-half substitute in their 2-0 loss to Newcastle United at St James’s Park earlier this month.
The 26-year-old forward has faced a fresh wave of criticism in recent weeks after Sturridge picked up a hamstring injury during last Sunday’s 2-0 loss at Newcastle United.
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has recently discussed how the England striker needs to learn the difference between “real pain and pain” following an injury-hit 18 months.
And Sturridge, who moved to Liverpool from Chelsea in a £12m deal in January 2013, trained alongside Christian Benteke and Philippe Coutinho.
