Piers Morgan questions Arsene Wenger after Chelsea sack Jose Mourinho
Piers Morgan has his say on Jose Mourinho's apparent sacking after Chelsea's ninth league defeat of the season
Piers Morgan couldn’t resist a jibe at Arsene Wenger after Chelsea sacked Jose Mourinho on Thursday afternoon.
The 52-year-old has parted company with the defending Premier League champions after the west London side suffered their ninth defeat of the season at Leicester City on Monday night.
Chelsea’s 2-1 loss to the Foxes left Mourinho’s men in 16th place in the Premier League table, a point above 18th-placed Sunderland and 20 points adrift of leaders Leicester.
Arsene Wenger, who was previously branded a “specialist in failure” by Mourinho, has led Arsenal to second place in the Premier League as the Frenchman bids to win his fourth English top-flight crown.
However Morgan, who was urging the north London side to appoint Pep Guardiola at the end of the season, is seemingly unhappy that Wenger has been allowed to remain the hot seat at The Emirates despite an 11-year Premier League title drought.
Mourinho won Premier League 6 months ago – SACKED.
Wenger hasn't won Premier League for 11yrs – UNSACKABLE.
