Piers Morgan has labelled Arsene Wenger as “embarrassing” after Arsenal’s 4-0 thrashing at the hands of Southampton on Saturday night.

The Gunners slumped to a dismal defeat at St Mary’s as they spectacularly spurned their chance to move to the top of the Premier League table.

Wenger was unhappy with some of the referee’s decisions after the game.

However, celebrity Arsenal fan Morgan was less than impressed by the Frenchman’s comments after the defeat.

Morgan tweeted on Sunday morning:

Arsenal fell behind in the 19th minute when Cuco Martina’s curling effort beat Petr Cech.

Shane Long doubled the home side’s lead in the 55th minute when he tapped home from close range, before Jose Fonte made it 3-0 when he headed in from a corner in the 69th minute.

Long then added gloss to the scoreline when he finished through Cech’s legs to leave Arsenal second in the Premier League and two points behind leaders Leicester City.
