Piers Morgan reacts on Twitter to Mesut Ozil’s display for Arsenal

Piers Morgan takes to social media to heap praise on Mesut Ozil following his sparkling displays for Arsenal

Piers Morgan has taken to social media to salute Mesut Ozil’s performance after the playmaker was named man of the match in Arsenal’s 2-1 win over Manchester City on Monday night.

The Germany international continued his recent fine form by notching up another two assists as he set up both Theo Walcott and Olivier Giroud to help Arsenal on their way to a crucial win in the title race.

Ozil has been one of the Premier League’s standout performers this season, with the former Real Madrid star having already notched up 15 assists in the top flight for Arsene Wenger’s men.

The 27-year-old has faced his fair share of criticism since arriving at The Emirates from Real Madrid in the summer of 2013.

But Arsenal shareholder Morgan is clearly a fan of the World Cup winner.

Morgan tweeted on Tuesday afternoon:

Ozil will be expecting to feature when Arsenal return to Premier League action with a trip to Southampton on Boxing Day, before hosting Bournemouth on 28 December.
