Piers Morgan seething over Arsenal’s failure to appoint Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Piers Morgan is unhappy Arsenal missed out on Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Piers Morgan says he is still seething over Arsenal’s failure to appoint Jurgen Klopp as Arsene Wenger’s successor.

The 48-year-old former Borussia Dortmund manager guided Liverpool into the League Cup semi-finals after a stunning 6-1 victory over Southampton at St Mary’s on Wednesday night.

Klopp was touted as a potential long-term replacement for Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger before the Reds appointed the German as Brendan Rodgers’s successor in early October.

Liverpool have lost just once in 12 games since Klopp took over the reins at Anfield, and the Reds are just four points behind third-placed Arsenal ahead of their to Newcastle United on Sunday afternoon.

And outspoken Arsenal supporter Morgan was still bitter about Liverpool’s appointment of Klopp on Friday morning following Wenger’s media conference.

When one Twitter user urged Morgan to get behind the current manager and his squad, the celebrity Gooner was in no mood to compromise.
