Piers Morgan reacts on Twitter to Arsenal’s 2-1 victory over Man City
Piers Morgan has his say on Arsenal's vital 2-1 victory over Manchester City
Piers Morgan says Arsenal supporters are starting to believe Arsene Wenger’s men can win the Premier League title after a 2-1 victory over Manchester City.
England international Theo Walcott made the breakthrough in the 33rd minute after the striker curled a powerful finish past City number one Joe Hart.
Mesut Ozil and Olivier Giroud combined yet again as the Arsenal striker doubled the north London side’s lead before half-time before Joel Campbell and Aaron Ramsey missed promising second-half opportunities.
City midfielder Yaya Toure netted what proved to be nothing more than a 81st-minute consolation goal, but the African’s brilliant strike ensured a nervy finish.
And outspoken Arsenal supporter Morgan succumbed to Christmas cheer as he spoke of the growing belief surrounding the north London outfit’s title potential.
Emirates louder than it's been for a long time.
