Robbie Savage states his prediction for Arsenal v Man City
Robbie Savage is tipping Arsenal to beat Manchester City at The Emirates on Monday night
Robbie Savage is backing Arsenal to claim victory when they host Manchester City at Emirates Stadium in Monday night’s crunch Premier League clash.
The Gunners take on the Citizens in the final top-flight game before Christmas as they look to underline their status as genuine title contenders this season.
Arsene Wenger’s men head into the game on the back of their 2-0 win at Aston Villa last weekend and are currently in second place in the table and five points behind surprise leaders Leicester City.
Savage has been impressed by Arsenal’s defensive stability in recent weeks and is tipping the Gunners to take the three points as the hectic festive schedule looms large.
Speaking to William Hill, Savage said: “Man City, surprisingly away from home, haven’t scored in their last three. They have only got seven goals in seven games.
“Compare that to Giroud, who is playing so so well at the minute. In his last two games against City, he has got two goals.
“Arsenal with the second best defensive record at home in the Premier League. That’s why I am going to go with an Arsenal victory. Giroud to get another goal.”
Arsenal are looking to win their first Premier League title since going the season unbeaten in the 2003-04 campaign.
The north London side, who will face Barcelona in the last 16 of the Champions League, finished third last season.
